We ask the expertsWhat does this year's course look like?The Vermont City Marathon course is a flat double loop that starts and finishes in Waterfront Park, near the intersection of Lake Street and Penny Lane.This year the traditional course is being altered around the Burlington Amtrak station, and a hill at the northernmost point of the course has been cut in half, which could potentially speed up the race for competitive racers.See the full course map in the image below:What time does the marathon begin?This year, the hand cyclists will begin at 7:14 a.m., with the starting gun for racers set just a minute later at 7:15 a.m.Street ClosuresRunners will launch in waves near Waterfront Park beginning at 7:15 a.m., according to race organizers.
