Are my eDocuments secure?

Yes. Your information is password protected and uses the highest standard for website authentication.

How do I sign up for eDocuments? Once I’m signed up, how do I view my eDocuments?

To sign up, log into DFCU Online and select Settings > eDocs Enrollment. Once you’ve signed up, you’ll access your eDocuments by selecting Services > eDocuments.

How long will it take for my funds to become available using Mobile Deposit?

In most cases, checks will be posted immediately and the funds will be available according to our Funds Availability Disclosure Policy.

How much can I deposit using Mobile Deposit?

Our members can deposit up to $10,000 per day with Mobile Deposit. Business Banking members can deposit up to $20,000 per day and up to $100,000 per month with Mobile Deposit.

What’s Mobile Deposit?

Mobile Deposit is a service that allows you to deposit a check simply by taking a photo of it with your smartphone or tablet. The image is transmitted electronically to us, and your funds are deposited without you having to visit a DFCU Financial branch.

Why isn't there a link to my eDocuments in the email I received?

Notification emails contain links to the DFCU Financial homepage. For your protection, we require that you log in to DFCU Online to view your eDocuments.

Are there any types of checks that are not eligible for Mobile Deposit?

While you can deposit most checks through Mobile Deposit, there are some exceptions. The following types of checks are not eligible:

  • Foreign checks
  • Altered checks
  • Incomplete items
  • Non-negotiable items
  • Non-readable or non-visible MICR line items
  • Deposits from the same account that the deposit is crediting
  • Torn or damaged checks

Can I choose which documents I want to receive electronically?

No.All documents are available in DFCU Online viaeDocuments. If you still receive paper statements, you will continue to receive paper documents, and copies of your documents will also be available in eDocuments.

Can I have my eDocuments email notification sent to two different email addresses?

Your eDocuments email notification can only be sent to the email address registered in DFCU Online.

How do I use Mobile Deposit?

  1. Open the DFCU Mobile app.
  2. Select Menu, then select Transactions, then select Mobile Deposit.
  3. Select the account where you would like the funds to go and type in the amount of the check.
  4. Select Capture Image, then take a picture of the front and the back of the check.
  5. Review your pictures and retake them if necessary, then select Submit Deposit.

What accounts can I deposit funds into using Mobile Deposit?​

You can deposit funds into your DFCU Financial checking or savings accounts.

What’s the difference between eDocuments and eStatements?

eDocuments are electronic documents that can be accessed within DFCU Online. An eStatement (an electronic version of an account statement) is one example of an eDocument.

Am I eligible to use Mobile Deposit?

You're eligible to use Mobile Deposit if you:

  • You have accessed DFCU Online and accepted theDFCU Online Access Agreement
  • Have been a member for 30 days or more
  • You are on an active account
  • You are 14 years of age or older
  • You have an aggregate deposit balance of $500.00 or more
  • You live in the United States
  • Additional restrictions may apply

Can I print my eDocuments on paper?

Yes. You can either open the document and print the .pdf or open and save the document to your computer, then print it from there.

How do I change my eDocuments email address that my notifications are sent to?

Update your email address by logging into DFCU Online and selecting Services > Update Contact Info.

How do I endorse a check for Mobile Deposit?

On the back of the check, sign your name and print "For mobile deposit only at DFCU Financial."If Mobile Deposit will not accept your check, please bring it to the DFCU Financial branch nearest you to make your deposit.

Is special software needed to use eDocuments?

You will need software that can open and read .pdf files. Adobe Acrobat Reader® version X (10.0) or higher is recommended.

What do I do if the writing on my check is too light or difficult to read?

Our Mobile Deposit system reviews each check for image quality. If the system is unable to read your check, you will receive an error message; if this happens, please bring the check to the DFCU Financial branch or ATM nearest you.

Can I receive paper documents and eDocuments?

Yes. If you receive paper documents, copies of your documents are also available in DFCU Online viaeDocuments by selecting "Skip this Step" when you are prompted to go paperless. You also have the ability to print any document displayed in eDocuments for your personal records.

How will I know when I have an eDocument available to be viewed?

You’ll receive an email notification when your eDocuments are available.

Is there a fee for eDocuments?

No, all DFCU Online users can access eDocuments for free.

What do I do with checks after I make a Mobile Deposit?

We recommend keeping the check in a secure place for 90 days. After 90 days and confirmation of deposit (via your DFCU OnLine history or monthly account statement), you may destroy the check.

Can I make loan payments using Mobile Deposit?

While you can’t apply a check deposited with a mobile device directly to a loan, you can use DFCU Mobile to transfer available funds and apply them to a loan balance once the check has been posted to your checking or savings account.

What if I accidentally delete my email notification? Can I still view my eDocuments?

Yes. Even if you delete your email notification, you can access eDocuments by logging in to DFCU Online.

Will I automatically get my DFCU Financial credit card statements if I sign up for eDocuments?

Monthly credit card statements are not available through eDocuments, but you can choose to receive your credit card statements online by logging in to DFCU Online and selecting Transactions > Credit Cards.

Why didn't I receive a notification that I had an eDocument waiting to be viewed?

DFCU Financial sends notifications to the email address we have on file for you. If you've changed your email address and haven’t updated it in DFCU Online, your notification was likely sent to your old email address. If your email address is current, it’s possible the email went to a spam or junk folder. Please add edocuments@dfcufinancial.com to your list of email contacts to ensure prompt delivery of notifications.
