I received a termination notice; how can I stop my shut off?

If you received a termination notice:

  1. Sign into your online account
  2. Click “Get Help Paying” and follow the prompts to view your options to stop your shut off.

If you’re not currently on a payment agreement:

  1. Apply for a new one to stop your scheduled termination and make payments toward your past-due balance over time.

If your payment agreement is past due:

  1. Review the amount required to reinstate your agreement and stop your shut off.
  2. If you’re unable to make that payment, visit bill help page to see if you qualify for any of our -- income-eligible assistance programs -- such as Operation HELP, LIHEAP, and ERAPto help pay the amount you need to stop your scheduled shut off.
  3. You can also review the income guidelines for OnTrack, which is a long-term payment plan that offers lower monthly payments and debt forgiveness.

I need a due date extension, how can I set that up?

If you’re not behind on your bill and you just need a little extra time to make the payment, you may be eligible for a due date extension. This protects your account for two weeks from the date you request the extension. It gives you extra time to pay the amount due without any penalties, like late payment charges or the risk of a shut off.

Sign into your online account, click “Get Help Paying,” and follow the prompts to see if you qualify for a due date extension.

How do I set up a payment arrangement?

Sign into your online account, click “Get Help Paying,” and follow the prompts to apply for a payment agreement. We’ll ask some information about your household income and provide you with all options available for your family.

You don’t need to call us to set up an agreement. The same agreement options are available online or over the phone.

I need help paying my bill. What programs do you offer?

If you need help paying your bill, sign into your online account, click “Get Help Paying,” and follow the prompts to see which options will work best for your family.

Programs for all customers:

Payment agreements: You can apply for a payment agreement by signing into your online account. From the Account Summary page, click “Get Help Paying” and follow the prompts. You’ll enter your household financial information, and we’ll provide you with all options available for your family.

Budget billing: You can enroll in the budget billing program for more predictable monthly payments. We’ll average your electric use over the entire year to set your budget billing amount. Once you’re enrolled, your budget amount may change every three months to stay consistent with your electric use. After twelve months, we’ll settle the difference between your actual energy use and the amount you were billed. If you used more, we’ll bill you the difference. If you used less, we’ll credit your account.

Due date extension: If you’re not behind on your bill currently and you just need a little extra time to make the payment, you may be eligible for a due date extension.
