`121231As the director who reveals the film’s message in its title, such as <A Good Lawyer’s Wife> and <The President's Last Bang>, this film is no different. <Taste of Money> is spiritual sequel of his previous film <The Housemaid> (2010). A young girl Nami, in shock by witnessing the suicide of Eun-yi at the end of <The Housemaid>. Fully grown up as a divorcee with a child of her own, Nami is now the main character of this film. If <The Housemaid> revealed the bitter side of the Korean society captivated by desire for money and power through a young couple in upper class, director IM will do it once again through a large family consisting of several generations. Thus, it is known that this film contains more plots and stories, related to desire for money and the level of exposure scenes is much more stronger than that from <The Housemaid>. However, different from <The Housemaid> with outspoken repulsion and contempt for the upper class, director IM will follows the conventions of a commercial film by adding a love story into the mix.
