Wedding Season's mashing of discordant genres can make for a less than perfect union, but nobody will object to the compelling chemistry between Gavin Drea and Rosa Salazar.

Previous Brian Tallerico The Playlist [Wedding Season] plays like a relatively straightforward romantic comedy about two beautiful people who end up crossing paths... However, it’s also a vicious thriller with a pretty high body count that has the tendency to explode in action sequences. B Jan 31, 2024 Full Review Judy Berman TIME Magazine Sometimes the mismatched genres can lead to real dissonance; Wedding Season got a little darker than I’d hoped. But the show’s tight, propulsive episodes make it hard to stop watching. Oct 3, 2022 Full Review Lucy Mangan Guardian Wedding Season is an ambitious undertaking that might fail at what it’s trying to do but remains entertaining enough. 3/5 Sep 13, 2022 Full Review Mini Anthikad-Chhibber The Hindu A film that faithfully follows all the genre rules, with the pay-off on the right side of entertaining. Oct 4, 2023 Full Review Cristina Escobar Latino Rebels As Katie McConnell, Salazar is funny, mysterious, cruel, sexy, and likable. It’s an unusual combination, especially for a woman and a Latina at that. May 21, 2023 Full Review Chris Wasser Irish Independent Despite a decent turn from Drea, however, this rusty comedic thriller is neither funny nor thrilling, and forgets to include a single likeable character. Pity. Sep 14, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews Next

Previous Denise T it was really good and I hope they have a second season. Rated 5/5 StarsRated 5 out of 5 stars•02/11/24 Full Review M T The main characters appear to be meeting each other for the first time during each of their interactions. Gavin Drea fails to make Stefan a convincing character as he seems neither a doctor nor a lovesick puppy type but comes across as more of a couch surfing extra wheel to his poorly written friend group. Rosa Salazar plays a con-woman troubled by her past which is a worthwhile character placed in the wrong story. Had Stefan been created as a supporting character, the series had potential for more interesting plots and a further experience off the Katie/Keira character which is infinitely more interesting than the entirety of the "Wedding Season" premise. The continuation of Wedding Season should be scrapped but a spin-off movie or series focussing on the story of the Keira/Katie character could be well received by those with any amount of favour for this season. Rated 2.5/5 StarsRated 2.5 out of 5 stars•08/10/23 Full Review Gareth v The only thing that holds this show together is the pairing of Drea & Salazar. This series starts off well, but becomes a rather hard slog by it's conclusion as the writers seem to have run out of ideas and jokes. Rated 3/5 StarsRated 3 out of 5 stars•06/16/23 Full Review Sumner M script and plot compelling overall - except for the wounded bird complex - rosa salazar was consistently frustrating to watch. she wasn't worth dying for and they have zero chemistry. hope the have a new love interest for season 2. Rated 2.5/5 StarsRated 2.5 out of 5 stars•03/17/23 Full Review Renita D Stefan was not believable. He was such a wimp. His infatuation was not love just a weird obsession. It's so obvious Katie/ Keira used him but yet he kept coming back. He was so pathetic that I couldn't feel sorry for him. He's an embarrassment. The story just dragged on after a while. The last few episodes were so interesting that I stopped caring Rated 1/5 StarsRated 1 out of 5 stars•12/10/22 Full Review Azi P Funny, action-packed, smartly written and full of characters I wanted to hang with. Wedding Season is an ambitious undertaking that might fail at what it's trying to do but remains entertaining enough. Content collapsed. A film that faithfully follows all the genre rules, with the pay-off on the right side of entertaining.
Wedding Season is an action comedy romantic thriller streaming television series created by Oliver Lyttelton for the Star content hub of Disney+. It was released on the Disney+ Star platform internationally, Star+ in Latin America and Hulu in the United States, September 8, 2022.
At the time of writing, Wedding Season Season 2 doesn't have an official release date as the show has not been renewed by Hulu for another season. However, a second season is very likely due to the success of the first season on Hulu.
The pair end up living happily ever after, celebrating the end of the wedding season at their final wedding, and joking how they weren't remotely interested in marrying one another – as they are just content to be together.
We presume so! Asha and Ravi do end up together at the end of Wedding Season, however, their wedding is never shown. Instead, we're giving a montage of their new life together and blossoming relationship.
Asha and Ravi slowly become mutually interested, as they little by little get to know each other. Out with her boss James seeking donors, Asha learns that Ravi is secretly a wealthy DJ called DJ Spellbound. She and Ravi step out to talk, and he further confides in her.
The wedding season usually falls between May to October, with the peak months being May, June, September, and October. These months provide warm and sunny weather, making it an ideal time for outdoor ceremonies and receptions. Knowing when the wedding season is can be crucial for guests and couples.

'Wedding Season' Review: Hulu's Likable Rom-Com Subversion Wears Out Its Welcome. Gavin Drea and Rosa Salazar star in this nuptial-filled eight-part series that toys with romantic comedy conventions.
For the most part, “Wedding Season” is a combination of two shows that can't get out of each other's way. There's enough early crush chemistry in Katie and Stefan's hijinks that the “escaping from the law” half of the show can't help but overcompensate by getting more outrageous with each passing episode.
Parents need to know that The Wedding Season is a dark comedy about a couple on the run after there's a murder at a wedding. Language includes "a--hole," "d--k," "hell," "f--king," "t-ts," and British swear words like "shagging." There's drug use and social drinking.
Generally speaking, wedding season is when the majority of weddings take place, and that tends be from spring to early fall. Spring and fall offer the most mild weather, while most couples would prefer to deal with the heat of a summer wedding over the possibility of a snow storm in winter.
